Dubai chocolate with pistachio & kadayif

This chocolate is not a quick snack. It's a statement.

Crisp chocolate meets roasted kadayif, creamy pistachios, and a delicate, nutty depth. Inspired by oriental sweets, but reduced to the essentials.

That's exactly how something special is created: with patience, a feel for heat, and good ingredients.

Key data

  • Dish: Candy / Chocolate
  • Working time: approx. 15 minutes
  • Cooling time: approx. 3 hours
  • Total time: approx. 3 hours 35 minutes.
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Quantity: 1 large board (approx. 20 × 10 cm) or 2 small boards

Ingredients

  • 100g dark chocolate or milk chocolate
  • 30 g white chocolate (for decoration)
  • 15 g butter
  • 50 g Kadayif dough threads
  • 80 g sweetened pistachio cream
  • 50g roasted and lightly salted pistachios
  • 1 tsp tahini
  • Optional: 2 drops of green food coloring for decoration

preparation

  1. Prepare the decor
Gently melt the white chocolate in a double boiler. Draw thin lines or patterns into a silicone mold. Optionally, color a small portion.
Refrigerate the mold for about 10 minutes, until the pattern is firm.
  2. First chocolate layer
Melt the dark or milk chocolate in a water bath.
Pour a thin layer over the solid decoration. This will later become the top of the board.
Cool again briefly until she is dressed.
  3. roast Kadayif
Melt butter in a pan. Slowly fry the kadayif threads in it over medium heat until golden brown. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
Remove from heat, stir in pistachio cream and tahini. The mixture should be soft but malleable.
  4. Fill
Spread the kadayif-pistachio mixture evenly over the solid chocolate layer.
Sprinkle chopped pistachios over the top and press in lightly.
  5. Close
Pour the remaining melted chocolate over the top and smooth it out.
Allow to set completely in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
  6. Serve
Carefully remove the bar from the mold, break or cut it into pieces and enjoy at room temperature.
